When a student stops taking lessons with you, you're going to want to remove them from upcoming lessons on the calendar, verify there are no recurring charges in the Family Account and then switch their status to "Inactive".

Remove the student from the Calendar:

  1. Navigate to the "Calendar" from the main menu on the left.
  2. Click the "Filter" button in the toolbar and filter by the student's name.
  3. Find the next lesson after their end date.
  4. Click on this event and select "Delete Event".
  5. If the event was part of a recurring series, select "This & Future Events". If it was a one of event, confirm your selection by clicking "Delete".
  6. Repeat as necessary to remove future lessons.

If you have entered a recurring charge (ex. yearly administration fee) or a recurring discount in the Family Account, you'll want to make sure you remove this. A recurring transaction will have a circular arrow icon to the left of the line item. Click the red "Trash" icon to remove it. Be sure to "Delete All Future Entries".

Once we've removed the student from upcoming lessons, verified they don't have anymore recurring transactions in the Family Account, we can switch the student's status to "Inactive".

To change a student to "Inactive":

  1. Navigate to "Students" from the main menu on the left.
  2. Click the blue "Zoom" icon to the left of the student's name.
  3. Select the "Options" tab.
  4. Select "Inactive" from the "Status" drop down menu.
